Head Coach and Athletic Director Miller Moves to Frisco ISD

Three weeks ago the Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator Coach Kendall Miller took the job at newly built Emerson High School in Frisco. After nearly a decade at Lakeview, he will now take on his third Head Coaching job after this switch to Emerson. Emerson will have a junior varsity team to play in the 2021 season and a varsity football team a year later in 2022.

While at Lakeview, Coach Miller brought the football program to the playoffs three times, including a 2016 playoff run which was the school’s first postseason appearance since 1995. This also does not include this past season which would have been a fourth appearance for the school. He led the football team to a 4-1 season only to get cut short due to COVID-19 outbreaks on the campus.

He announced the move to go to Emerson high school in front of his players before they had their daily offseason workout.

“I love all of you guys like my own children and I will always be a phone call away if you ever need to contact me,” Miller told his players. “I will continue to watch and support you guys the rest of your high school careers.”

The players have supported his move and the program hasn’t skipped a beat since Coach Anthony Saincilaire was named interim Head Coach for the football program.

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the football program, but things should start to work themselves out in the coming weeks.
