“Infinity War” Review

Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” (more commonly known as just “Infinity War”) is a cinematic masterpiece spanning a decade and 18 films. It absolutely tore apart the emotions of fans and left them crying or fuming in anger (or both) on their way out of the theater – myself included.

“Infinity War” was a whirlwind. It was a mess in all the best ways because it brought back characters that we had fallen in love. Drama filled, packed with action, and the occasional sarcasm, “Infinity War” left me beyond mad, and hoping that this was a “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” situation. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Walking into the theater with absolutely no expectations, “Infinity War” definitely lived up to its hype and went even beyond that. Somehow the Marvel team was able to pull together the last ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a two hour and 40 minute showing that left the audience actually gagged. There was so much going in the movie, but it was still easy to follow if you are an avid Marvel fan. For those fans, there were ties here-and-there that were basically giants nods from the writers that say “everything is connected.”

For most of the film, I was entranced and genuinely shocked at the plot points that had occurred. I can usually guess what may be happening next in the movie, but there was barely anything that I could guess correctly. The soundtrack was befitting to the scenes and changed accordingly, especially when the “Guardians of the Galaxy” team popped up for their screen time. The CGI effects were on par with the rest of the Marvel films.

There can be so much more said about Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War”, but that would only lead to spoilers which, for those of you who have not seen the film yet, are still avidly trying to avoid. Overall, “Infinity War” was astounding and blew my expectations out of the water, and I actually cannot wait until the untitled “Avengers 4” film that premiers in 2019. Like literally I can’t wait, I need Marvel to release the film right now.
