In the current political climate, it’s apparent the country is in dire need of competent leadership. Current issues ranging from economic to social have divided the United States, the likes of which we haven’t seen since the Civil War, and as the election period draws near, the citizens must vote on the fixer of these issues. Both candidates’ policies and ideologies differ drastically from each other and will be instituted as an attempt to rectify these problems. Will Trump be handed a second term, or will the country be under the leadership of Joe Biden?

Joe Biden’s vision:

Joe Biden is the candidate of the Democratic political party of the United States. He is the primary candidate competing with president Trump, and has certain policies he’s adamant on implementing. Biden is persistent on the notion that president Trump has run the country’s economy into the ground, and plans to revitalize it by instituting an economic system where every American enjoys a fair return for their work, and is able to get ahead. This idea is rational in concept; however, every American’s work ethic and experience is different. This socialist construct simply isn’t plausible, and would be a hindrance on employers. A vast majority of Biden’s vision is predicated on the COVID-19 pandemic, and cites it as entirely Trump’s fault. However, the pandemic was bound to be a major strain on the country, no matter the course of action, not to mention the benefit of hindsight. An obligation to keep schools and learning safe is Biden’s promise, and one of his steps to achieve this goal is to implement various safety measures at not only a federal, but state level. Biden claims Trump hasn’t implemented any of these safety measures and has left it up to the governor and state administration to pick and choose what their plan is.

Donald Trump’s vision:

Donald J. Trump is the 45th president of the United States and head of the Republican Party. Trump is an advocate for prosperity and has boosted the country’s economy significantly, which completely contradicts Biden’s notion that Trump has single-handedly run it into the ground. Pre-COVID-19, America has boasted an annual average growth of 2.3% higher than Barack Obama’s two terms, according to the U.S Bureau Of Economic Analysis. In January of this year, the unemployment rates stood at 3.6%; the lowest it had been in over 50 years, which proves Trump’s economic vision had come to fruition. Trump has plans to promote peace and friendship among countries overseas, namely Palestine and Israel. Trump wants the Palestine and Israel governments, along with the surrounding countries to be mutual and coincide peacefully. The region has been anything but that, and continues to fight and create havoc, affecting citizens and the government itself. To initiate this concept of peace and prosperity, Trump has sent troops to Israel to demilitarize and refrain the hostility between the region. This is beneficial to every party involved due to the region being the home of Isis, and the economic opportunities between the countries. President Trump has cultivated these regional partnerships, allowing historic enemies to identify shared threats and mutual beneficial opportunities, facilitating the prospect of healthy relationships between the neighbors. Biden used Trump as a scapegoat for every issue facing this country and designed his proposed policies as a rebuttal against President Trump’s faults. The upcoming presidential debates and election will result in uneasiness from both the Democratic and Republican parties as they clash heads
