Freedom, Lakeview’s pop singing group, hosted their annual spring show last Friday and Saturday. By performing songs like “Hard Times” and “Radioactive Diamond Mashup,” they put together a show that showcased their variety of vocal ranges.

Junior Katherine Zamora said that she is pleased with how everything came together.

“I feel like the show went really well,” she said. “This is my first year in freedom, [and] I have to say I’ve loved every minute of it.”

One of the Freedom captains, Jackson Mansell, performed “Here’s Where I Stand” for his senior solo.

“I enjoyed being allowed to be free and express ourselves through music,” Mansell said.

Zamora said that a lot of hard work was put into the show in order to execute the dance routines and deliver the end product correctly.

“Our captains have been preparing us for the show since the beginning of the year,” she said. “We worked so hard and it went better than expected.”
