Boys Varsity Soccer Nearing the Season’s End

The boys varsity soccer team took on South Garland High School on February 22. The game resulted in a close 1-0 defeat that continued the varsity run of poor results.

Even though the game ended in a loss, senior Nathaniel Anderson said that beyond the score line, the team played well.

“[It was] probably one of our best games,” Anderson said. “[I am] proud of all of my boys for giving their all even if the game wasn’t going our way. They still put up a great fight.”

Junior Edward Leeper also said that the team worked hard during the South Garland defeat.

“We played well as a team,” Leeper said. “Even though we lost, we were pushing ourselves as far as we can.”

With the season approaching its end, Anderson said he just wants to enjoy every moment he has left with the team.

“It’s all about enjoying the moments with each other on and off the field,” he said. “I want to cherish every single day.”
