Vacation or Staycation?

LC students describe their spring break last week.

Students went out on their week long spring break, and we wanted to know what students were up to throughout their break.

Spring break is a perfect opportunity for families to go on vacation and that’s exactly what sophomore Josue Prado and his family were up to.

“My family and I went to Houston over the break to visit some cousins that we have there,” Prado said.

Other families, like freshman Samuel Cervantes’s family, like to keep their spring break simple by just spending time with each other in the comfort of their home.

“I’m just gonna do stuff with my family here,” Cervantes said. “There’s no need to go on a trip or something when you can just chill at home.”

Some students waste no time throughout their break, and instead choose to study for school or get ahead on their school work.

“School is hard; it’s better to be ahead than to be behind,” sophomore Mina Rubealcaba said. “The break gives time to catch up and to get ahead.”

Other students, like sophomore Earl Alba, just kicked back and relaxed through their spring break.

“I literally [did] nothing throughout the break,” said Alba.

Above all, everyone made sure to fenjoy their break and was ready for a fresh start back on Monday.
