Students Make Plans for Winter Break

Today is the last day before winter break and we wanted to know what students here at Lakeview will be doing throughout their two week break from school!

The winter break provides a sense of relief among students who are non-stop working and studying.

“I’m so glad we got the break,” sophomore Mina Rubealcaba said. “I’m gonna try my best to relax and maybe even get ahead on some stuff for school”

Some students, like sophomore Jason Valle, will spend their break relaxing at home playing video games.

“I’m not gonna do anything besides play video games all day and maybe spend some time with my family,” Valle said. “This is my way of enjoying the break.”

The holidays are all about spending time with family and friends and enjoying a good meal, and that’s exactly what freshman Samuel Cervantes will be up to throughout his break.

“I’m gonna spend some good old time with the family,” said Cervantes. “We’re gonna watch movies, wrap presents, visit old friends, [and] stuff like that.”

Sophomore Angel Cruz says he will spend his break doing the things he enjoys and catching up on new music.

“I’m gonna spend time doing the things I enjoy with my family,” Cruz said. “And I’m gonna catch up on new music.”

Freshman Pedro Carrillo will be giving out sweaters and blankets to the homeless throughout his break.

“I’m gonna help my church give out sweaters and stuff to the homeless people, that’s about it,” Carrillo said.

Winter break flies by when you aren’t having fun, so make sure to enjoy your winter break with the people you love the most and most of all, be safe!
