Meet The Teacher Meets Expectations

Meet the teacher night this year was a success, surpassing teacher’s and parent’s original anticipation.

“This years turnout exceeded my expectations,” math teacher Brian Mazur said. “My expectations for the night were a bit lower”

Teachers received a large amount of parents pouring into their classrooms to meet them.

“This year I had over 40 parents come and talk to me,” Mazur said. “That’s a lot more than I had imagined.”

Teachers went into meet the teacher night with a positive attitude and were looking forward to meeting their students families.

“My goal is to meet a lot of wonderful families,” chemistry teacher Jessica Lenihan said. “I think you learn a lot about students through meeting their families.”

Some teachers were excited about engaging parents and discussing all about what will be going on in the classroom throughout the year.

“My goals for the night are to introduce parents to the architecture and engineering program we have available for students here at Lakeview,” architecture teacher Matt Russel said.

Teachers made sure that parents knew about what their classroom’s primary focus is by making some demonstrations of the classroom material available.

“We have project presentations, pamphlets, brochures and syllabi available for parents,” Russel said.
