The first day of the 2016-2017 school year has come and gone. With all the changes this year, students had mixed reaction to the new school year. Most students felt excited, while others were nonchalant about this year.

“I’m excited about graduation and the senior activities,” senior Asiana Gray said. “But I don’t think this year is going to better than last year because I had more friends last year.”

Most juniors are more excited to come back to school because they only have one more year left. They were also looking forward to showing off their first day outfits.

“It was easy for me to pick out my first day outfit,” junior Emmaus Taylor said, “because I’m a stylish person.”

Most sophomores felt questionable about coming back to school.

“I don’t really like this year because being a freshman was fun,” sophomore Tymour Bataineh said.

Freshmen were really excited about coming into high school. For many of them, their first day of school experience was wonderful.

“I was excited to come into high school,” freshman Madison Wilson said.
