Cinderella

Theatre Troupe 753 presented their children’s show “Cinderella” in the Lakeview Auditorium October 6 through 9. Since the show was double cast, the two casts switched off every other show.

The opening night was actually an opening day in which the Glass Slipper cast performed the show for elementary school kids.

“I felt we were unprepared, but knew it would come together. I was excited for children to see the show,” senior Laryn Kropik said.

A flurry of emotions coursed through the actors and techies as the show began.

“Terror, excitement, and happiness,” senior Devri Beckett said.

The show was full of exciting twists and turns for the actors and actresses.

“Gammon falling asleep in the chariot during the show,” senior Kropik said.

Being in a show and rehearsing for six weeks can bring people closer together with each other.

“Getting to beat up Jackson was my favorite part,” Beckett said.

The makeup in the show was bright and colorful. It was inspired by the Hunger Games movies.

“The makeup was a pretty fun part, but my favorite would be that I get to perform. When you’re passionate about something, being in the show is your favorite part,” senior Julissa Hernandez said.

The show was funny and entertaining with lots of laughs from the little kids.

“It went well for the children but it’s hard to make adults laugh,” Kropik said.

Overall the show was enjoyed by the audience and the cast. The next show is a dark comedy titled “Arsenic and Old Lace” which will be performed in mid November.
