Volleyball Favorite Teacher Night
The varsity volleyball team had their Favorite Teacher Night on September 9th in the LC gym. Each varsity member chose their favorite teacher to get candy in appreciation.
Senior Romona Brown picked her English teacher, Dayna Castle, as her favorite teacher.
“I picked her because I like her class,” Brown said. She gave Castle a jar of candy and a handwritten note.
“It shows me the what I’m doing matters,” Castle said. “It makes me want to show a more personal side of myself to the students.”
Senior Maegan Plunk chose choir director Da’On Hinton to be her favorite teacher for the second year in a row.
“It’s very humbling to be a favorite teacher!” Hinton said. “I don’t believe that it affects how I teach, just me as a person. Yes, I am a teacher, but I am also a person.”
The players are happy to show their appreciation for their teachers.
“He’s my fave,” Plunk said. “This day lets me be able to show my appreciation for everything that Hinton does for me.”
