“The Girl in the Spider’s Web” Review

“The Girl in the Spider’s Web” is the third film of the Lisbeth Salander series based on the novels by author Stieg Larsson.

Claire Elizabeth Foy plays the awe-inspiring character Lisbeth Salander. Foy has experiences acting out a strong-minded and spirited female characters, like her days playing Queen Elizabeth II on the historical drama “The Crown.”

“I think her days in ‘The Crown’ was good because [she] did an amazing job playing the Queen,” sophomore Amy Ramirez said. “I would honestly believe that that’s how the Queen actually is.”

This makes Foy perfect for portraying Salander’s vigilante persona with her leather jacket and boots.

“It was interesting to see her outwit everybody,” junior Diana Flores said.

Her story starts when Salander and her sister tried escape from the clutches of their father and his odd fetishes.

Sadly enough, Salander’s sister refuses to go with her. Salander makes a hard decision and decides to escape on her own, leaving everything behind her. This is the beginning of Salander’s vigilante role that is present throughout the entire movie.
