LET’S START A W[RIOT]
WRIOT is a club where any writer or photographer may come together and share ideas, thoughts, and creativity. Most people view the club as a safe and fun environment to be in.
The club produces a literary magazine where young writers and artists can have their material published. President Caroline Aguilar looks through various stories and art pieces and picks several of them to be published for the magazine.
“The most exciting part about being president,” Aguilar said. “Is watching my writers grow and experiment with different styles of writing.”
Students see the club as inspiration to gain writing experience that sometimes go unnoticed. For people to see their work gives them a big confidence boost from just writing in the shadows to getting their art into the light.
“WRIOT has given me new ideas,” Vice President DeAnthony Robinson said. “It gave me a bit inspiration knowing that people would be seeing my art.”
The club will be receiving submissions for the magazine starting December for their fifth edition literary magazine.
