Mac Miller “Swimming” With the Stars
Pittsburg-raised Malcolm James McCormick, known by his stage name Mac Miller, died on September 7 in Studio City, Los Angeles, of an apparent overdose. Shortly after his death, fans were mourning the tragedy.
“It’s unbelievable,” junior Kassandra Oviedo said. “Too many artists are dying because of drugs, and it’s just so sad.”
Miller’s cause of death is still waiting to be announced. Although there are reports that the young rapper overdosed, fans are still waiting for toxicology results to confirm the theory. According to senior editorial pharmacist Leigh Ann Anderson on drugs.com, it takes four to six weeks to receive toxicology results.
“I really can’t wrap my head around it,” Miller’s ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, said on an instagram post shortly after his death. “We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad [and] I don’t know what to do.”
