Sophomores: Don’t Wait!
The Class of 2020 began a “senior contract” this school year in an effort to raise money for prom and other senior expenses. Although months have passed since the sophomore class first began this, not that many students have signed up.
Sophomore students still have time to sign up for a senior contract if they haven’t already, but the price increases as time goes by. Students wanting to sign up have the option to pay by cash, check, or through PayPal.
“Students can sign up next year as well,” 2020 sponsor Paul Ranta said. “But the longer they wait, the more they’ll have to pay.”
If not enough students sign up, then the Class of 2020 will not have the funds necessary when it comes to booking a venue for prom and other prom expenses.
“The less money we raise, the fewer options we have when it comes to find a place for prom,” Ranta said. “We may not be able to afford better food, door prizes, etc.”
The senior contract will not only pay for prom related expenses, but for other senior expenses as well.
“Students will also pay for their senior day trip, senior t-shirt, and senior gift to the school,” Ranta said.
If you’re a sophomore and you haven’t already signed up, do yourself a favor and pick up a senior contract from Paul Ranta or Shari North’s room as soon as possible so you won’t have to have prom in the cafeteria!
