Smith signs with Texas Tech

Senior Zhaire Smith has signed with Texas Tech and plans on spending the next four years in Lubbock.

Smith played three years of varsity basketball and improved every year.

“Texas Tech is a great school for me because of the education on the campus,”  he said, “and it will set a good opportunity to play ball in the Big 12.”

Smith had over ten major offers from Division One colleges but still was humble and played every game as it were his last.

“It was a long process to make the decision,” Smith said. “My family guided me through it. Through all the visits they were at every one.”
