Prom Day Piano Recital
This past Saturday, April 28, Lakeview’s Piano Magnet held their spring recital in the auditorium. All students and parents were welcomed to attend at no cost.
“I think that the recital being free was just a good way to encourage families to come out for an hour or so and enjoy what the students have been working on for the past few months,” junior Briannah Castillo said. “These recitals are a great way to step out of your comfort zone having to perform in front of an audience.”
The recital was broken down into four different recitals. They were based on class periods each lasting about an hour long. The earliest of which began at 9:00 a.m..
“We don’t want to mess anybody’s schedule for prom,” piano teacher Brenda Whitlow said.
The performers ranged on level of experience. First year students went first while more experienced students were saved for last.
“I like that they saved the best for last,” sophomore Mina Rubealcaba said.
The recital showcased just how hard the piano magnet students have worked all year long.
“All I can say is we have talent,” Whitlow said.
My name is Aaron and I enjoy writing.
