High School games are full of students cheering from the bleachers as players try to score the winning goal for their team.
The varsity Patriots will take on Rowlett High School this evening at Lakeview, starting at 7:30. People are excited about the game; it’s a way to connect with students and family.
“Different games, different people, different atmosphere, but one thing that doesn’t change is the school spirit,” Lakeview’s mascot senior Jomar Rivera said.
Students want to encourage their friends by showing up. Athletes want to represent their schools.
“I love representing my school, we see kids laughing and hugging the mascot, and families having a good time,” Rivera said.
