“Fate of the Furious” Review

This review contains spoilers!

The movie was action packed! That’s what everyone loves about the series of “Fast and Furious” movies aside from the jaw-dropping street cars. The film cast stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Kurt Russell, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham, and Scott Eastwood.

With Dom and Letty married and on vacation in Cuba, a woman named Cipher turns up and gets Dom to betray Letty and his team. Now, with Brian and Mia retired to have a family life, the team has to somehow stop this woman from obtaining weapons of mass destruction and get Dom back.

Mr. Nobody, a Government operative, gets a team together consisting of Hobbs, Shaw, Letty, Roman, Ramsey, and Tej who work together to stop Cipher from trying to control major weapons. The only reason Dom would have betrayed Letty and his team was for family right? Well, spoiler alert! He has a son! Who would have thought right? I did not see that coming, but it turned out that the mom was killed later in the movie by Cipher that was played by Charlize Theron to show Dom a lesson.

They travel around the world and race fast cars and there is even a playfully passive-aggressive relationship between Hobbs and Shaw that is hilarious. My favorite scene was when Shaw saved the baby from Cipher and brought him to Dom. At the end of the movie Dom announced that his son’s name was Brian and their family was reunited. What a tearjerker!
